I have been trying to troubleshoot my old unit with old seatalk sog and wind and gps. I am tired of trying to fix my 4000 unit and want to replace but keep my wind, sog units for now, can I get a new autopilot and not replace everything now?
Hi Jbrooksbar

Thankyou for your enquiry.

The ST4000 autopilot could be replaced with the current EV100 autopilot system, this uses STng as a data protocol - this can be linked to your existing SeaTalk1 system through an E22158 SeaTalk to STng converter, meaning that you can retain your existing SeaTalk1 network onboard and it will link to your new EV100 Autopilot.

Note that STng is fully compatible with NMEA2000

Derek
