[LW11] Linear Rudder Angle Sensor for EV 200 - zauberberg - 02-04-20 07:27 AM

Dear forum,

after pondering quite some time over teh question how to attach a rudder angle sensor to my boat with a transom hung rudder it became clear to my that I need a linear rudder angle sensor that I will mount directly onto my hydraulic steering cylinder.

Unfortunately Raymarine has discontinued its linear M81188 sensor. On the other hand the market is full of linear resistive way sensors so that I am quite sure that such a sensor could easily be found - IF i would know the sensor / specification neccessary for operation at my EV200.

Question: What the electric specification of a rudder angle sensor that works on the EV200 unit?

Thank you very much

Thomas

Dear zauberberg,

Thank you for your post.

I can recommend the Raymarine version of the Seastar linear rudder reference transducer.

Many Thanks
Louise
