[CA11] RV-200 transducer - Mig888 - 02-05-20 07:55 AM

I am planning to mount an RV-200 on a flat surface on the keel of my boat. The area is about 15” wide and is completely flat and I am planning to mount the transducer right in the center. At the edge of both sides of the surface there is a small ridge that comes down about an inch so that if the transducer’s beam goes directly out to the side for sidescan, the small ridge may interfere with the top part of the beam. There is approximately 5” of space on each side between the transducer and the small ridge.

Do you know if the RV-200’s beam (if that is the correct word) shoots out directly from the side along the very bottom of the boat while using side scan or does it angle down a bit so that the small ridge won’t be an issue?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Mig888,

The hull feature which you have described should have very little, if any, effect upon the performance of the RV-200.
