Can somebody explain what this upgrade allows. I don't understand "Support for running Hardware Changes"

There appears to be erroneous information posted regarding the nature reason for the v3.05 software update. It should have stated that it addressed problem with one of the foreign languages which had been identified shortly after the v3.05 software update. The v3.06 software is now included within the v17.45 a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software update.
