C-80 Destination versus Waypoint distance - jetmart - 08-11-16 07:21 PM

I have many routes programmed into my C-80. I am finding when navigating to some routes it shows time and distance to the final destination while other routes show time and distance to current waypoint that I am navigating to. Why the difference?
I would prefer time to ultimate destination be shown.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum jetmart,

Unlike the latest generation of MFDs (i.e. the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs), the data items which may be used to populate the Databar and Data application of the C-Series Classic MFDs were limited to displaying time to go (TTG) data to route's waypoint that is currently being navigated to rather than the destination waypoint. Estimated Time of Arrival at each route waypoint of an A/C/E-Series Classic and C/E-Series Widescreen MFD may be accessed via the Route Details dialog. This dialog provides an option to express times as TTG or ETA.

OK Thanks, I will give the route details dialog a try.

You're welcome.

I have experienced additional route that displays distance and time to the final destination and waypoint in the data bar and not the one that is currently being navigated to. I have attached a picture as an example. I believe this is contrary to what you say is possible.

Jetmart,

Please take the screen snaphot again after:
- duplicating the problem
- moving the vessel slight right or left of the route's leg line
- configuring the COG and Heading Vectors OFF
- configuring the MFD to display waypoint names

What I am seeking to view is the dashed course line drawn from the vessel's head to the waypoint being navigated to. It is also possible that the should navigation be stopped, that the Waypoint Information dialog may retain data relative to the last waypoint which had been navigated to.
