MFD to command link - eric1528 - 08-15-16 10:33 AM

I just installed new to me 2007 Yamaha F250's with command link gauges. I am reading that speed could be sent from my C127 units. How do I connect my C127's to give speed information to the command link gauges, there are 2 Yamaha bus bar type hubs right behind my gauges?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Eric,

It is recommended that Yamaha be contacted for information concerning how to interface your gauges to one another and to the engines. It is additionally recommended to that Yamaha be contacted regarding whether one of your gauges feature a NMEA 0183 port/leads. If so, then
- the MFD's NMEA 0183 OUT+ lead (yellow) would be interfaced to the gauge's NMEA 0183 IN+ terminal/lead, and
- the MFD's NMEA 0183 OUT- lead (brown) would be interfaced to the gauge's NMEA 0183 IN- terminal/lead

If I connect using the ECI-100 will that back feed that data to the command link gauges? There are only proprietary plugs on the gauges and the MFD so I am assuming there are not NMEA 0183 connections, only NMEA 2000?

Eric,

The design of the ECI-100 supports one-way communications whereby engine data alone is passed from the engine system and the SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 backbone.
