Welcome to the Raymarine Forum

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing the differences between these MFDs. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, the a-Series MFDs feature a touchscreen-only user interface while the eS-Series MFDs feature both touchscreens and button contol of the user interface. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing the differences between these radomes. As both of these MFD's are designed to operate with LightHouse software and both feature the same CHIRP/DownVision fishfinder circuitry, they are equivalent to one another with respect to the overwhelming majority of features supported. Please note that sailboats are generally not suited for use with a transom mounted transducer. Accordingly, it is recommended that a compatible thru-hull CHIRP/DownVision Transducer (i.e. CPT-110 Plastic Thru-Hull or CPT-120 Bronze Thru-Hull) be used with these MFDs.
