c95 sounder upgrade compatibilty - Tuna Fusion - 03-11-17 10:54 AM

Currently have a first generation c95 MFD (new in 2013/14 I believe) with a cp100 module and cpt-100 transducer on the transom. I'm wanting to have a second sonar installed in the hull at my local boat shop and am trying to verify what will work.

Can I go with a cp470 and a SS270W transducer? The technician I spoke with at the shop said he didn't think my c95 would support a CHIRP module and I should go with the cp370. Isn't my already installed cp100/cpt-100 a CHIRP system?

Thank you!

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Tuna Fusion,

Your c95 MFD is indeed compatible with the CP470. Any a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD which as been updated with the latest a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD software update will be compatible with any of the following fishfinder sounder modules:
- CP370, CP300, DSM30, and DSM300 50kHz/200kHz Digital Fishfinder Sounder Modules
- CP100 CHIRP (conical) / DownVision Fishfinder Sounder Module
- CP200 SideVision Fishfinder Sounder Module
- CP470 and CP570 CHIRP Sounder Modules

Transducers designed for use with the CP470 and CP570 may be found here: http://www.raymarine.com/view/?id=12414.
