CPT-100/CPT-60/CPT-DV/CPT-DVS on vessel fitted with another transom transducer

As most vessels are fitted with a single transducer, Raymarine has not officially tested the CPT-100/CPT-60/CPT-DV/CPT-DVS alongside other transom mounted transducers and has correspondingly not specified a minimum distance to separate the these transducers from other transom mounted transducers. As such, it would be advised that the transducers be separated as far apart as is permissible.

Rather than mounting transducers directly to the transom, many opt to install a transducer mounting plate(s) and then fasten the transducer(s) to the mounting plate. Transducer mounting plates are commonly available as an aftermarket fishfinder accessory. Transducer mounting plates permit a number a transducer installation locations to be tested, while limiting the number of holes drilled into the transom. As the transducers are screwed to the mounting plate rather than the boat's transom, the number of holes drilled into the transom will be limited to those required to secure the mounting plate to the transom.
