A128 transducer choice - Natch - 06-16-17 01:41 PM

Chuck,
Just received an A128 back from your warranty repair site in Nashua NH. Seven (7) days from the date they received it, until I was reinstalling it. That's a pretty impressive TAT for any company.
I use the CPT-100 transducer with the A128 and also have a spare CPT-100 in my truck if needed. Raymarine has transitioned from the CPT-100 to the CPT-100DVS for the A8 series MFD. Does the newer DVS model, provide better performance?
Thanks
Steve

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Steve,

Q. Raymarine has transitioned from the CPT-100 to the CPT-100DVS for the A8 series MFD. Does the newer DVS model, provide better performance?
A. The fishfinding performance of these two transducers is essentially identical. The design of the DVS simply makes it less costly to produce.
