Tack Tick indicated apparent wind angle - beepbeep - 07-29-17 08:34 PM Apparent wind angle has become variable and unreliable. Sailing close hauled, the reading is sometimes 55 to 65 degrees on either tack, compared to a normal reading of 25 to 30. The reading is much more variable than normal and will eventually return to 25-30 degrees for a while. On a reach, with Windex showing perhaps 80 degrees, Tack Tick might say 100-110 degrees. Tack Tick does seem about right going dead downwind by Windex. Any ideas on what I should test or replace? This is an all Tack Tick system. RE: Tack Tick indicated apparent wind angle - Chuck - Raymarine - Moderator - 07-31-17 02:39 PM Welcome to the Raymarine Forum beepbeep, It is recommended that a Factory Reset be performed to correct the problem. Should the problem persist thereafter, it would then be necessary to replace the wind transmitter to correct the reported issue. |
