E SERIES TRACKING FEATURE - SEA DOG - 08-03-17 11:56 AM

HOW CAN THE ROUTE TRACKING BE TOTALLY ELIMINATED ON AN E SERIES MFD ?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum SeaDog,

It's not quite clear what you are asking instructions for. Should you have started a "track" (the breadcrumb trail indicating the path traveled by the vessel), then the track may be stopped via the command sequence MENU->MY DATA->TRACKS->STOP TRACK for a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs operating with LightHouse II software.

ALLOW ME TO BE A LITTLE MORE CLEAR.
A HEAVY RED TRACKING LINE IS CREATED FOR EACH TRIP, AND IT IS ADDITIVE IN THE SENSE THAT THE TRACKING LINES ARE OVER LAPPING AND REMOVING CLARITY TO A SMALL SCENARIO LIKE A HARBOR ENTRANCE.
I HAVE TRIED YOUR RECOMMENDED REMEDY, AND THAT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

QUITE SIMPLY, I WANT TO TOTALLY REMOVE THE TRACKING FEATURE FROM MY E127.
ANY SUGGESTIONS/IDEAS ?

MANY THANKS,

SEA DOG,

I believe that the feature which you have described is the SonarChart Live feature, not the Tracks feature. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, the SonarChart Live feature is configured ON/OFF via the command sequence MENU->PRESENTATION->ADVANCED OPTIONS->SONARCHART LIVE from within the Chart application page/pane being viewed.
