Chuck

As I am laying out the locations for the Real vision transducers, the location where I feel would be best does not allow the 2 transducers to be lined up with each other. Meaning, the Port transducer will be mounted 2 inches in front of the starboard transducer on the opposite side.
Will this be a problem?

See attached sketch

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum West32

With such a minor fore/aft offset, I wouldn't expect that it would cause any adverse effects to the system's sonar imaging.

Regarding the Real vision Transducers. I measure the thickness of the hull in that area (There is a Transducer blank there) and it is 2.5 inches thick. The Transducer body should fit as it is 3.15" long, but I'm very concerned about the anti rotation bolt. Can the anti rotation bolt be removed so a longer one can be used?

West32,

Q. Can the anti rotation bolt be removed so a longer one can be used?
A. Yes. The RV thru-hull transducers are supplied with a bronze anti-rotation bolt having a hex head. The hex head of this bolt fits into a recess within the transducer's body, preventing the bolt's shaft from turning as the bolt's nut is tightened. As this bolt is not permanently attached to the transducer, it may be replaced with a longer bronze hex head bolt sourced from a party supplier.

I started purchasing some of the parts and I just received the B275. I didn't realize it came with a 5 foot cable. What is the part number for the different extension cables? I'll most likely need 15 to 20 foot cable.

Please let me know

thanks

Eric

I'm now laying out the STng network.

How long is the Spur Cable the comes with the P70R?

The boat has a working Raytheon 398. Can this be used with the Axiom? It is a Sea Talk connection.... I know the Axiom has a GPS built in, but would it be able to utilize the Raytheon 398 connected over ST? I will have a ST to ng converter.

Should I connect it?

Eric,

Q1. How long is the Spur Cable the comes with the P70R?
A1. The p70/p70S/p70R/p70RS Autopilot Control Heads are packaged with a 400mm SeaTalkng Spur Cable.

Q2. The boat has a working Raytheon 398. Can this be used with the Axiom? It is a Sea Talk connection.... I know the Axiom has a GPS built in, but would it be able to utilize the Raytheon 398 connected over ST? I will have a ST to ng converter.
A2. Raymarine has not tested the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter with Raytheon branded products having a SeaTalk communications interface. Accordingly, no guarantees may be made regarding whether it will be compatible with the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter. That said, you have nothing to lose in trying. If seeking to replace the currently installed GPS sensor, then it would typically be recommended that a Raystar 150 GPS Sensor be installed. It is generally recommended that an external GPS sensor be installed within systems where at least one of the MFDs will not be installed in a location affording it an unobstructed view of the skies overhead.

Chuck

Thanks for your help so far.

I have all of the transducers installed, but I have misplaced 2 of the Collar Kits for the RV220 transducer connectors. Is there a part number for these? Where can I order 2 Kits?

Please let me know

Thanks

Eric
