Converting from old Analog Radar - 845cpl - 10-24-17 12:10 PM

I just upgraded my MFD from a C80 to a C95. Of course, now I need to upgrade the analog radar.

I would like to purchase a new Raymarine Quantumâ„¢ Wireless CHIRP Radar with the ethernet port.

My question is can I purchase an adapter cable to utilize the existing power that is on the old cable. I would rather that than ave to snake a new cable through the mast.

I don't plan on using the ethernet port but figure if the wifi becomes problematic O have a way out

Thanks

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum 845cpl,

While it may be possible to splice the currently installed analog radar cable to the Quantum radome's power cable to supply power to the Quantum radome, wired data communications cannot be supported by the currently installed cable. Accordingly, if seeking a wired data interface with the Quantum radome, then it will be necessary to install a Quantum Data Cable.
