A98 communication to old Raytheon products? - Va-Jim - 03-30-16 08:54 AM

Getting prepared to take the plunge on purchasing the A98 MFD. Am hopeful but doubt it will communicate with my old stuff that came with boat. Raytheon R10XX radar? SportPilot+ autopilot? Just curious if possible. Thanks-Jim

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jim,

While the a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs may not be interfaced to the R10XX radar, they may be interfaced to the SeaTalk (via a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter) or NMEA 0183 interface of a SportPilot autopilot.

Thank you for the information. So I can communicate with the SportPilot+ which is good news and in the future upgrade the radar. Thanks again, Jim.
