[CA] i50 depth and nmea 2k transducer - laurentdubois - 05-11-18 01:19 PM

I'm looking for confirmation on whether or not the i50 depth instrument can display data coming from a nmea 2k transducer (i50 and DST 800 smart transducer connected on nmea 2k backbone).
If not possible, which similar display would work with that setup (there might be an MFD in the future but looking at smaller/cheaper display for now...).

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum laurent,

While the i50 Depth instrument will support repeating depth from a NMEA 2000 Smart transducer, the i50 Depth instrument will be unable to apply depth offsets, depth alarms, or anchor alarms in conjunction with such transducers. In contrast, Raymarine i70S MFID may be interfaced to Raymarine's Smart DST800 to support the items listed above, as well as support speed calibration and temperature offset.
