[DG11] e128 - LUAR - 05-12-19 04:14 AM

When I give an order to follow a route in the e128 the plotter accept but the pilot does not stay in auto. Why?

Hi Luar,
Thank you for your enquiry.

Please can you provide more information about the system and exactly what sequence you use to engage the autopilot? What exactly happens to the autopilot

One reason the autopilot will not stay in AUTO is it dropping back to STANDBY - this could be a power supply problem for example.

Once we know more information about this we can advise
Thanks
Derek

Hi Derek,

I have the eS128 with LH3 (v3.9.46)
My pilot is the SPX30.
In P70 (v3.08) when driving, the pilot accepts and follows.
Accepts the manual corrections of degrees for starboard or port.
When I command to follow a route in the eS128 the system accepts in the plotter but does not give order to the pilot, it stay in standby.

Hi Luar,

Thank you for the feedback,
The LH3 software in the eS128 will not control the Autopilot, if you had an Evolution autopilot, then the LH3 software would control int, but because it is an older SPX30, the LH3 will not.

In order to use the autopilot to follow a route in the eS128 LH3, you will need to create a route in the eS128, select the route and then make it active - so you are tracking to the next target waypoint in the route, then using the autopilot control unit, select AUTO and then TRACK and it will follow the route from the eS128.

Regards
Derek
