[CA11] power on resets questions - Farmhand - 06-12-19 08:03 AM

Just trying to confirm a couple things with the power on reset,
I have 3 axiom units networked together with autopilot, p70r, vhf radio, fusion stereo

1) does the power on reset do anything different that a master reset?
2) can I perform the power on reset to one unit while leaving the others on? or do I have to completely kill the power to the other units?
3) will it affect any of my networked components or do I need to kill power to them as well?

Thank you

Welcome back to the Raymarine Forum Farmhand,

Q1) does the power on reset do anything different that a master reset?
A1) Yes. It is the most extensive reset supported by the MFD

Q2) can I perform the power on reset to one unit while leaving the others on? or do I have to completely kill the power to the other units?
A2) While technically possible to do so, it is recommended that the Power On Reset be performed to one MFD at a time while the system's other MFDs are switched OFF via their respective power buttons. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject.

Q3) will it affect any of my networked components or do I need to kill power to them as well?
A3) Negative.
