[DG11] Do I have an ST50 or ST50+ wind display? - Carib - 07-08-19 06:59 AM

Hi,

My boat has an ST50 or ST50+ wind display, but I can't work out which it is.

Looking at the product manuals, the ST50 and 'plus' seem identical - but I understand these have different networking capabilities depending on the model, which I will ask about when i know..

Please see the attached photo. Note the left button is marked 'CAL' as this seems to be marked differently on some displays.

There is also a serial no. on the back which is Z1350230689.

The transducer is the older style with square cups.

Thanks!

Hi Carib,

Thank you for your enquiry,

Both the ST50 and ST50+ used the masthead Transducer with the squarish style cups, so that does not imply one version or the other.

The differences were quite subtle, if the CAL button had a stylised LAMP ICON next to it - that would confirm it was ST50+, also if you can press the CAL button down for 12 seconds and get a cal menu to change the data damping on the needle or LCD, that is also an ST50+ display.

regards

Derek

Thanks Derek, that is helpful and I'll try the calibration test suggested.
