[CA11] No Speed 0or Temp from DST800 Transducer - 2flit - 07-28-19 04:00 PM

We have a dst800v transducer connected to the ITC-5 and an Axiom7 chartplotter with I70s displays. The temperature failed 3,000 nm ago and the speed failed about 500nm ago. Depth is still reporting. The ITC-5 led indicates no signal on its LED for the speed and temp
Should we replace the transducer or the ITC-5, how do I tell which?
We don't have a transducer tester or a spare transducer (nor spare ITC-5). We do have a Fluke model 87 DVM and a clamp-on hall effect sensor
What is my next step to correct the problem?

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum John,

It is recommended that the speed/temp transducer elements be tested with a common multimeter. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how one may test a speed through water transducer. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how one may test a temperature. The design of the iTC-5 requires that temperature be detected to then permit it to detect speed. Should either speed or temperature transducer tests fail, then the transducer should be replace.
