[CA11] RS150 GPS receiver - Jvoorhies1 - 09-17-19 01:47 PM

Does this unit come with a rail mounting bracket or do you need to purchase one separately? If so, can you please provide part number and cost? Thanks

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Jvoorhies1,

Raymarine offers the A80370 Pole / rail mounting adaptor kit for the Raystar 150 GPS Sensor. It features a standard 1" female threaded base to permit it to be installed on a standard 1" pole antenna mount or rail antenna mount. Raymarine does sell pole mounts or rail mounts. The latter third party mounts are commonly available from marine electronics dealers.

I am replacing a RS120 that is mounted on horizontal 1” rail which part of the Hunter arch (see attached picture). I don’t see how a pole mount attachment would work for me.

Is there another attachment I can use?

Jvoorhies1,

The Raystar 120 GPS Sensor which will be replaced is secured to its pole mount base (not to the rail mount) via two phillips head screws. Removing these screws and lifting the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor (should cable slack permit) will allow the Raystar 120 GPS Sensor's pole mount base to be unscrewed from the rail mount. The pole mount base within the Raystar 150 Pole Mount Adapter Kit will then be screwed onto the rail mount. Complete instructions for installing the Raystar 150 Pole Mount Adapter may be found here. This is the only means developed by Raymarine to mount the RS150 to pole or rail mount.
