[CA11] E80 cables - Oswego - 11-11-19 10:33 AM

I have a 2005 SeaTalk High Speed with 2 E80's. They are both at my lower helm station. A couple of questions:

1) can I add a third E80 in my upper helm station?
2);if yes, it is about 25 feet from the SeaTalk location thru tubing to the upper helm station. Is this a workable distance?
3) is the cable from the SeaTalk to the E80 a E141823-6? Other than a power cord will this be all I need?
4)

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Oswego,

Should you be indicating that the system presently features a SeaTalkhs Network Switch and should the SeaTalkhs Network Switch feature an unoccupied RJ45 socket, then an additional E-Series Classic MFD (E80, E120) may be added to the system. Please note that production of these MFDs ended over ten years ago and can no longer be services. Accordingly, a second hand E-Series Classic MFD would need to be sought. When installing the new MFD, only its power cable and an appropriate length of SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45 (M) Cable need be connected to the MFD. Should SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45 (M) Cable no longer be available, then an assembly constructed from an A80272 RayNet (M) Pins to SThs (M) Socket Adaptor Cable and an appropriate length of RayNet (F) to RJ45 (M) Cable may be substituted for the SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45 (M) Cable.

Thanks, that was very helpful.

Is the cable from SeaTalkhs(M) to RJ45(M) a E141823-6 cable? or maybe a E129760-C?

Oswego,

The link provided within my earlier response should have displayed Raymarine's Ethernet Networking web page. On this web page is a tab titled SeaTalkhs Cables. Clicking on this tab would have then listed the following SeaTalkhs (M) to RJ45 (M) Cables:
- E55049 1.5m
- E55050 5m
- E55051 10m
- A62135 15m
- E55052 20m
