[CA11] best AIS for E120 Classic - craig86 - 11-17-19 10:12 AM

I have a 2006 E120 Classic and I would like to fit AIS

I have been told that this old MFD can't support so much information.

Ideally I would like to send and receive information but if it won't be able to cope then receive only would be fine.

It has radar and fishfinder plugged in but no other inputs are used as its a small rib without autohelm or instruments

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Craig,

When operating with the final E-Series Classic MFD software update (v5.69), the MFD may be interfaced to an AIS receiver or AIS transceiver supporting 38400 BAUD NMEA 0183 communications. If seeking a Raymarine AIS receiver, then the AIS350 would be recommended. If seeking a Raymarine AIS transceiver, then the AIS700 would be recommended. The MFD will process and display data for the closest 100 AIS targets.
