[LW11] ST6000 - IainB - 11-25-19 07:56 AM

Hi all,
I currently have an ST6000 autohelm, setup looks exactly like page 5 of the ST6000 service manual.
I have a Seatalkng a50 chartplotter that I would like to connect to the autopilot (and everything else).
What is the best way to achieve this?
I can't see any NMEA inputs on the course computer.
I don't have the Seatalkng cable for the a50, is that, perhaps, all I need? If so, anyone know the part number?
Second question, is there a way to connect older NMEA 0183 output to the course computer?
Thanks,
Iain

Dear IainB,

Thank you for your post.

The old Autohelm ST6000 (I am assuming this is the black autopilot) has NMEA inputs on the back of the control head.

What information are you looking to take out of the autopilot?

Can you send a system diagram of everything you have installed currently and I can advise on the best methods of connecting these products.

Many Thanks
Louise
