Renaming Way Points
Hello Chuck,I believe I have my EV-100 auto pilot networked to my 1199 Hummingbird. I've installed the Actisense converter to convert my 1083 to N2K. Things seem to be talking together, haven't got back on the water to check functionality. My question is, I read somewhere that the way-points need to be renamed in order to work, the system only reads alpha not numerical ? If you could confirm please or give an example as well.
Thank you very much for your time and patients............Ray

RE: Renaming Way Points
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rtsplace,

Raymarine has not specified any constraints for waypoint names when used in a system such as you have described. That said, the autopilot control head may truncate waypoint names longer than 16 characters. It is further recommended that apostrophes and quotation marks not be included within waypoint names, as these may cause data parsing problems.
