(DG) ST60+
We have:
- ST60+ instrument (wind,depth, speed) - SeaTalk.
- ES7 chart plotter, and P70 pilot controller - SeaTalk ng
- S2 ou S3 SmartPilot - SeaTalk
- SeaTalk to SeaTalk ng adaptor.
It is working fine but I begin to have problem with the screens and buttons of the ST60+. I would like to change them and to keep the same gauges or transducers. I would like to work with SeaTalk ng
Question: what instruments can we use to replace the ST60+

RE: (DG) ST60+
Hi jeanpierreferaud
Thank you for your enquiry.

The ST60 Wind display can be replaced with the i60 Wind display, the ST60 Depth and Speed with the i50 Depth and Speed. The original transducers connected to the ST60 displays can be plugged directly into the i60 and i50 equivalents.

In terms of connection to the network, our recommendation would be to extend the STng backbone to the back of the i60 and i50s, add a 5 way connector block A06064 and connect the i60 and i50s into the spur connections, each one using it's own spur cable to the connector block, do not be tempted to 'daisy chain' the i60 and i50s. Read more here about the NMEA 2000/ STng backbone and spur requirements.

Just remember that the STng network must only have 2 terminators one at each end of the backbone.

regards
