[DG] Replacing St-60
My ST-60 masthead wind, arm-vane blew off in a storm last month in the Gulf of Mexico. I am trying to think thru a replacement but want to be prepared if the damage is to the masthead side of the arm-vane. If the masthead side is damaged what part do I need? What's a good test to see that I am getting the appropriate signal from masthead to instrument? Short arm or long? It was long before. What's the difference?-mike t

RE: [DG] Replacing St-60
Hi miket99

The standard masthead transducer is often referred to as the 'short' one, part number R28170, however, both the long and the short will fit in the standard masthead mounting block which is supplied with the A28162 30m long mast cable and mounting block.

The Short arm transducer R28170 is 21.2" long
The Long arm transducer R28171 is 31.6" long

The test for the masthead transducer is described here .

regards
