[CA11] ST 4000
I just bought a new boat with a ST 4000 on board. The display shows nothing more than blurry garbelled streaks. Not even sure if the unit is getting power as pressing buttons does nothing while other electronics work fine. Any ideas appreciated.

RE: [CA11] ST 4000
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum glmeadows,

It is recommended that voltage be measured at the ST4000's power pins on its back side to determine whether it is being supplied with 12VDC. If so, then it would appear that the ST4000 has suffered a failure, necessitating that it be replaced, as Raymarine's Product Repair Center can no longer service or provide parts for the ST4000/ST4000+ and ST5000/ST5000+. Should you require assistance in identifying the appropriate Evolution autopilot components to replace your ST4000, then please respond accordingly. In such a response, please additionally include the model of drive unit which is presently installed onboard and if the vessel is a sailboat, please respond with the boat's displacement.
