[CA11] Vhf with ais Nema 2000 connection to Axiom 12
Hi thinking of buying a Simrad Vhf radio which has AIS built in and Nema 2000 output to interface with with my Axiom 12 MFD.
I already have both the E22158 sea talk 1 to seatalk ng converter and the A06064 sea talk 5 way converte installed to connect my wind, speed ,depth and heading information via auto pilot to both my es7, c120 and Axiom 12 MFD’s.
On the A06064 I have two open white connectors. Thus would I connect the Nema 2000 output from the Vhf with a AIS dats to one one of open Whites connections with a Raymarine device net cable to get the Ais data to show up on the Axiom. If not what can be done

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum E.hatch2086,

Q. Thus would I connect the Nema 2000 output from the Vhf with a AIS dats to one one of open Whites connections with a Raymarine device net cable to get the Ais data to show up on the Axiom.
A. This is indeed how the third party VHF/AIS would be interfaced to the system. Please click here to view a FAQ addressing how a device having a NMEA 2000 interface which has been terminated with a DeviceNet (M) plug/socket may be interfaced to a spur (white) socket within a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone which has been constructed from SeaTalkng networking components..
