[DG11]Smart Controller connection to EV-150 system
Can a Smart Controller Base Station be directly connected to the NG backbone or into the back of a ST70 control head with a Seatalk to Seatalkng converter cable?

Or must a Seatalk to seatalkng Converter be installed.

I was envisioning taking a Seatalk to Seatalkng cable and removing the Seatalk plug off one end and using that wire to replace the existing wire that is pre-installed in the Base station and then plugging it into the back of the ST70 (system has both ST70 and a newer p70Rs control heads).

Hi WPrice

Thank you for your enquiry.

The Base station of the smartcontroller communicates via SeaTalk. It would need to be connected to the STng Backbone network via an E22158 SeaTalk to STng converter.

Regards

Derek
