[CA11] Additional Transducer Necessary?
Hi, currently have to Axiom Pro 16 rvx, with a Set of RV212, CP570 Black box, and a 2Kw R109CLH.
I fish anywhere from 5 feet of water, to 5000' of water.
Do alot of bottom fishing, for fluke, Seabass, blackfish, and tile fish. Along with Shark, sword, tuna, and all other pelagic's.
Do I need a 1Kw Medium chirp transducer? Or will the 2kw HL chirp thru hull transducer take care of it all? If so, how do I adjust the frequencies? Is there a formula.
I know certain species are seen better at certain frequencies.
Squid - 133KHz
Bluefin Tuna - 60KHz (or 88KHz)
Tuna - 88KHZ and 107KHz
Cod - 175KHz

Thanks.

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum

No additional transducer should be required. The 109LH in CHIRP mode runs from 38kHz to 75kHz on low ... so that covers your tuna. On high, it runs from 130kHz to 210 kHz, so that covers your squid and cod (smaller bladders).

Example, if i want 60 kHz, and if im on Low frequency chirp.
