David,

The Axiom 9 RV unit would be the best unit for you to get to be able to use you current transducer on board.

You would need the following adapter cable to connect your transducer that is plugged into you DSM 300 directly into the transducer port on the Axiom 9.

A80489 7 Pin to Axiom RV transducer adapter cable.
