[CA11] CP370 Transducers
The Raymarine specs for the CP370 fishfinder say that it will reach a depth of 5000' but the specs for available transducers are vastly different. The B164 1KW transducer at 50khz say that it is good for 1200' to 1800'. The specs for the B260 1KW transducer at 50khz say 1800' to 2500'. What transducer could I use to get the 5000' range of the CP370? I fish Hudson Canyon and often run into depths approaching 5000' and I don't want to drill a [censored] in the bottom if I can't get at least 4000'. Also, the M260 1KW in-hull transducer at 50khz is rated at 1800' to 2500'. How good would this transducer be in terms of clear readings and what would the actual depth maximum really be? Are there any restrictions as to the thickness of the hull? Thank You.
