[CA11] New pump install
Pump to be replaced is a M81121 Type 2, to be replaced with same part number pump. Ports on original are on the top, new pump has them on the face. Using the existing plumbing the ports will be opposite. If I hook them up this way, is it just a matter of reversing motor wires, either at motor on computer unit? And other than bleeding, will any other changes be required. Thanks Dan

RE: [CA11] New pump install
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Dan,

While the port marked R must be connect to the helm pump reservoir port, such care need not be taken with the A & B ports of the pump. Simply connect them in the easiest manner to the hydraulic lines. After the hydraulic connections have been made and bleeding has been completed, the autopilot should be commanded to turn to starboard. If the pump causes the rudder / lower unit to turn the wrong way, then swap the pump's Motor A/B lead connections course computer / ACU's Motor terminals as you have suggested. If not changing the pump type (ex. Type 1 vs Type 2, etc.), then no other changes need be made to the autopilot's settings.
