RE: [CA11] heading line with LHIII, on es98
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum C.spots,

The title of this thread indicates that the es98 is operating with LightHouse 3 softwarw, while the body of the thread discusses LightHouse II.

If operating with LightHouse 3 software, vectors are configured on via the Vessel Details Menu. This menu may be displayed commanding Find Ship (if the cursor is not already centered on the vessel's location) and then either pressing the OK button or holding your finger press to the screen atop the vessel icon. Detailed information concerning this subject may be found within the Vessel Details section of Chapter 8.1: Chart app overview of the LightHouse 3.11 Advanced Operation Instructions. It is recommended that you try setting the Vector Length to Infinite (select the Heading and INFINITE VECTORS options from the vessel context menu). Unlike past operating systems, the heading vector will be displayed as a solid black in systems running the LightHouse 3 operating system rather than a solid red line that had been used by earlier MFD operating systems.

If operating with LightHouse II software, vectors are configured via the command sequence from within the Chart application: MENU->PRESENTATION->VECTORS. As with those operating with LightHouse 3 software, it is initially recommended that you try setting the Vector Length to Infinite. Detailed information concerning this subject may be found within Chapter 14.17: Chart vectors of the LightHouse II Release 19 Operating Instructions.
