AIS650 and GPM400 operation
Hello

My AIS650 shows many contacts with their GPS position; which is cool. But, is there a quick away to navigate the GPM400 chart to their position?

I try to find a quick way to navigate to the contact of interest. It seems like there is no quick way. If I want to see where they are on the map, I have to painfully scrolled to their position.

I would be very happy if there is away.

Cheers
Viet

Welcome to the Raymarine Forum HiViet,

For AIS targets which are plotted within the Chart application, the fastest way to navigate to the position of such vessels would be to position the cursor over the corresponding AIS target's icon, press the OK button, and then select Go To Cursor.

Hi Chuck

What I mean was: When I look at the AIS list, I see many contacts. Let say if I want to see the position and location of one of the contact on the map. Is there a quick way to click on it and it shows on the contact on the map?

Viet,

The G-Series software does not support the type of quick location/centering/navigation which you have inquired about.

RE: AIS650 and GPM400 operation
Viet,

The latest generation of Raymarine MFDs does not support this feature. At this time we are considering a feature request to support initiating VHF radio communications to AIS targets via a right mouse click operation. A feature suggestion will likewise be logged to consider a GoTo option as well from the AIS Target List.

Please click here more information concerning product and feature suggestions..

RE: AIS650 and GPM400 operation
In a nutshell, we have been receiving requests to trigger the VHF radio to initiate a DSC messaging process using the MMSI the selected AIS target.

Viet,

Please note that the G-Series Product line has been retired for several years and no future software updates are planned for this product.
