I70s Water temp
Hello support team,
Just installed an I70s on my boat over the weekend.
Nice product. Great features...

Unfortunately, the water temp is bouncing between real temp and -30.9F.
The bounce occur about every 10 seconds.
On my MFD the water temp is stable and no bouncing at all.

MFD: E95 + I70S (all with latest software)
Data source: Mercruiser Gateway
There is no other device broadcasting water temp in my boat.
Only the Merc. Gateway is listed in the Datasource list.

Your help and feedback are again very appreciated.
Kind Regards,
David

RE: I70s Water temp
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum David,

Is the only source of water temperature data within the system coming from the Mercury side of the engine gateway? If so, then it would be recommended that a NMEA 2000 CAN bus analyzer (ex. Actisense NGT-1-USB w/Actisense NMEA Reader software) be interfaced to the SeaTalkng backbone to determine whether 1) more than one instance of PGN 130310 Environment Parameters is present on the backbone, and if not 2) determine whether the water temperature reported within PGN 130310 is stable.

RE: I70s Water temp
Chuck,
How do you explain the E95 is reporting the right value all the time without any glitch ? The engine Gateway is the only device reporting Sea Water Temp.
Thanks for your support.
David

RE: I70s Water temp
David,

I missed your statement that the temperature reported by the MFD was stable. In this case, I would recommend that a log of approximately 10 seconds be recorded using the e95 MFD's diagnostic feature. The log may then be attached to your response and a problem report will be logged accordingly. It is additionally requested that a Diagnostics...html file (HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANCE->DIAGNOSTICS->SELECT DEVICE; SHOW ALL; SAVE) be generated for your system, that it be saved to a microSD memory card and that it also be attached to your response.
