Saving screen snapshots, waypoints, tracks, etc. to a chart card

Unlike more capable systems featuring Raymarine a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs, where the MFD may have a pair of microSD memory card reader slots or a system featuring more than one a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFD, it is not possible for Dragonfly displays to capture screen images which would include detailed cartography to a microSD memory card which is not also a compatible chart card. The Dragonfly displays and MFDs are dependent upon a compatible chart card being present within the Dragonfly display's or MFD's (or a networked MFD's) memory card reader whenever desiring to view detailed cartography. As the Dragonfly displays are not designed to be networked to other products and feature a single microSD memory card reader slot, any screen capture which will include detailed cartography would have to be saved to the chart card within the Dragonfly display's memory card reader. While saving such screen captures to a chart card is indeed technically possible and the Dragonfly display or MFD will not cause any chart data corruption, modification, or deletion, Raymarine does not generally recommend that system data and screen snapshots be saved to a chart card. The primary reason for this position is that the chart card may later be interfaced to a computer, where its contents may unintentionally be modified, corrupted, or deleted. Accordingly, it is recommended that customers purchase a commonly available microSD memory card (Dragonfly displays and a/c/e/eS/gS-Series MFDs are compatible with microSD memory cards having capacities up to 32GB) for use when performing screen captures, saving/transferring waypoints, routes, tracks, backing up system data, performing software updates, etc..
