CP370 and B164 not functioning right
I recently upgraded to a CP370 because my DSM300 just performed poorly offshore. I would lose bottom frequently as well inshore. The CP370 is connected to my E120 via A62360 to E55060 to E55049. The transducer I use is a B164 with a 20 degrees tilt. First time out I noticed I still lost bottom while i sped up and performance offshore was still poor and at times the screed showed "levels" of blocks. While back in the harbor the screen blanked red but showed the depth and didn't change with any gain adjustments. Temp has never been an issue and always worked. Very frustrated and just want my system to work properly.

RE: CP370 and B164 not functioning right
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum dhong24,

Please confirm whether you have selected the B164 transducer option from the Fishfinder applications Transducer list. If so, does the problem manifest itself when the vessel is stationary with at least 3' of water beneath the transducer?

RE: CP370 and B164 not functioning right
The B164 transducer is selected as the Transducer. The problem exist while stationary and during movement. Late in the day while i returned to the harbor with a 20-30' depth the display just showed the depth but the picture was just showed solid red.

RE: CP370 and B164 not functioning right
dhong24,

The problem may be rooted within the CP370, its software, or within the B160 itself. It is recommended you verify whether your CP370 has been updated with the latest available Raymarine product software update and that the system then be tested. Should the problem persist, then it would be recommended that the B160 be tested with Airmar's TDT1000 Transducer Tester by a Certified Raymarine Installer or authorized Airmar dealer. Alternatively, the CP370 be sent to Raymarine’s Product Repair Center to be bench checked with a B160.
