Upgrade to ACU400
Chuck,
Im thinking about upgrading to the ACU400 from the SPX30 that we currently have installed.

I already have the P70 control head installed. Would I get all the functionality of the ACU400 with my current C80 MFD or do I need to upgrade my MFD too.

Also, will this be compatible with the C80 and the existing linear drive type 2 unit?
thanks
bill

RE: Upgrade to ACU400
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Bill,

As the C-Series Classic MFDs do not support SeaTalkng communications, the MFD would need to be interfaced to the SeaTalkng backbone via a SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter. All autopilot features specified within the MFD's Reference Manual will be supported by an Evolution autopilot. In addition to the ACU400 (which is compatible with a Type II Linear Drive), the currently installed fluxgate compass must be replace with an Evolution EV-1 CCU.
