Smart Controller Range
I would like to increase the range of the Smart Controller as it loses connection when I'm near the bow of the boat.

Is it possible to install multiple base stations for a single controller?

If not, are there any options/recommendations for increasing range other than trying to relocate the base station?

RE: Smart Controller Range
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum rsqunit,

Unfortunately, additional base stations may not be added to the system to increase the range of the SmartController and S100 Wireless Autopilot Remote Controllers, as each base station is manufactured with a unique identifier and the wireless remote controls may only be registered to a single base station's identifier. Accordingly, the only way to provide greater coverage for the wireless autopilot remotes would be to:
- relocate the base station closer to bow, but within range of the after most portion of the vessel where the wireless remote controller may also be used; or
- relocate the base station to an area presenting decreased the amount of physical structure which may limit range from between the base station and the wireless remote controller; or
- add a second wireless remote control and base station to be dedicated to servicing the end of the vessel which cannot be presently serviced by the currently installed wireless autopilot remote controller.
