[CA] Cant get new es98 mfd and autopilot to turn on
Just bought a es98 mfd, type 1 hyd pump and ACU 200 controller and cannot get the mfd to even light up. Tried to follow directions very carefully but what am I doing wrong? Does the es98need the NEMA 0183 wire to have power? I thought if the ACU had power and the data cables were connected to a blue backbone and the backbone connected to a T piece with spur cable going to the es98, it would have power. HELP please

RE: [CA] Cant get new es98 mfd and autopilot to turn on
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Phil,

Please click here to view a FAQ addressing this subject. As indicated within the referenced FAQ, Raymarine Multifunction Displays (MFDs) are neither designed to be powered via their communications interface(s) nor to supply power to a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone. MFDs are designed to be powered via the power cable included within the MFD's package.
