[TG11] Vovlo Penta Engine Data on Raymarine Axiom 12
Hi,
How do I connect my Vovlo Penta engine data to my Raymarine Axiom 12? What type of cables do I need to connect it to the NMEA2000 Backbone?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

If your Volvos are new enough and supported models, you can do this either with a Volvo/CPAC NMEA2000 Gateway or a Raymarine ECI100. ECI100 connection details, supported data and supported models are all at http://www.raymarine.com.au/view/?id=8883.

Hey Mike, no problem.

No, you should only need one gateway which will relay data from both engines. For anyone else reading this, the rule is, one engine gateway for each engine CANbus network. Some engine manufacturers require separate networks for each engine and so need separate engine data gateways, but Volvo use a single network and hence a single gateway.

Hello RonnieCa,

Sorry, an update to our website has broken that link. Try this one: https://www.raymarine.com.au/view/index-id=8883.html, or go to https://www.raymarine.com and go to Products > Multifunction Navigation > Accessories and peripherals > Engine Interfacing.

Hi Tom,

Thank you! Would you happen to know what part numbers I would need to complete this task, please?

Thanks

Mike

RE: [TG11] Vovlo Penta Engine Data on Raymarine Axiom 12
Hello Mike,

As we don't supply the Volvo NMEA2000 gateway I don't have a part number for that, but the cabling part numbers for connection via our ECI100 (part E70227) instead are all on that engine interfacing page that I linked to, along with connection drawings.
