A127 and Ray60 Radio Power Connection
I have a new A127and Ray60 VHF radio to install and interconnect via seatalkNG. I also have the 5-port seatalkNG connection assembly.

The installation instructions warn against multiple power connections. Do I provide 12v power to the radio and to the MFD and also to the 5port seatalkNG assembly?

Thanks

Dave

RE: A127 and Ray60 Radio Power Connection
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Dave,

Neither the a127 MFD nor the Ray60 VHF Radio are designed to be powered by or supply power to a SeaTalkng backbone. Correspondingly, the MFD and VHF radio should each be powered via their respective power cable / harness. The SeaTalkng backbone should be powered from a single spur socket within the backbone. The spur socket to be used for powering the backbone should be located at the approximate midpoint of the backbone's LEN load. Please click here to view more information addressing powering of the marine electronics.
