[CA11] EV-1 software update
I just installed my new EV-1/ACU150 autopilot system. In checking for the latest software everything is up to date accept the course sensor. It is now V3.01.
I see that the V3.02 just came out.

Do I really need to update just that?
If so do I just put the V3.02 zip file on a chip and insert it in my es127?
I have already downloaded it. But if it isn't necessary I'd rather not.
Do I have to back up my waypoints etc. before putting zip file chip in?

RE: [CA11] EV-1 software update
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Bhngh,

Updating the software within a Raymarine product other than the MFD itself would have absolutely no effect upon the waypoints, routes, tracks, or settings stored within the MFD's memory.

That said, unless the system featured and EV-2 CCU, this update may be skipped.
