See my prior response regarding powering the SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 backbone via the SeaTalk bus. If heeding this recommendation,
- connect the SeaTalkng Power Cable (connected to a switched 12VDC power circuit) to one of the spur sockets of one of the ST-STng Converters
- connect the ST6002 alone to one of the autopilot course computer's SeaTalk ports ... use all three leads of the SeaTalk cable
- connect the SeaTalk bus including the other SeaTalk devices (RS125, ST60 Depth, ST60 Wind, ST60 Speed, and Data Master MFD) to the autopilot's other SeaTalk port ... use only the data (yellow) and ground (shield) leads of the SeaTalk cable.
- connect the SeaTalk bus including the other SeaTalk devices (RS125, ST60 Depth, ST60 Wind, ST60 Speed, Data Master MFD and autopilot course computer to the SeaTalk socket of the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter.

A recommended, but not required change would be interface the Data Master MFD as a spur to the SeaTalkng backbone rather than to the SeaTalk bus. This recommendation should be considered if the system grows to include future devices having a SeaTalkng / NMEA 2000 communications interface. Raymarine offers the E-Series to SeaTalkng spur adapter to accommodate this end. If doing so, then the MFD's SeaTalk / Alarm Cable be be disconnected. Alternatively, the cable's SeaTalk leads may be disconnected from the SeaTalk bus.
