[DG] Type 2 Linear Drive Clutch Surfaces
I have just disassembled my linear drive and found that the drive clutch coil and clutch assemble surfaces look like there has been some slipping and scratching of the suface. Should I clean up the clutch coil and clutch assemble surfaces or should I replace the parts? Thanks

Hi powfield

Welcome to the forum,

The clutch faces should be carefully cleaned up with fine emery or wet and dry paper, degreased and left smooth and clean. This should be fine and will recover the friction plates in most circumstances, unless the scoring is deep, in which case, replace the parts
Thanks
Derek
