[CA11] EV-1 vs EV-2 corepacks
Upgrading old raypilot...using original drive unit and new e125 MFD for autopilot control...adding a new ACU-200...but what is the difference between the corepacks?

RE: [CA11] EV-1 vs EV-2 corepacks
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum mbjezior,

Evolution autopilot core packs featuring an EV-2 CCU are designed for use propulsion systems featuring supported drive-by-wire steering systems. In such systems, the EV-2 CCU will connect both to Raymarine's SeaTalkng backbone and to the CAN Bus port for direct connection to steer-by-wire steering systems - such as ZF Pod Drives, Yamaha Helm Master, Volvo IPS and SeaStar Solutions Optimus systems.

Should the system feature one of Raymarine's drive units, then an EV-1 CCU, p70S/p70RS autopilot control head (optional, but recommended as a best installation practice), and an ACU (model determined by the model of drive unit used) will be installed onboard the vessel.

Perfect! There is quite a price difference between the two and now that I know I don’t require the ev-2 that’s a huge savings!
