Charles,
Q. Because my max speed is only 15 knots, I assume transducers with fairing block will be acceptable.? A. I'm not certain what you are inquiring about as the B175 transducers are low profile transducer and accordingly do not require a fairing block. These transducer should not be installed behind any other through hulls (ex. B744V) or these thru-hulls may cause an aerated flow of water to pass over the face of the transducers. The best practice would be to remove the existing transducer(s) and re-glass the holes if there was any concern about aeration of the new transducers due their proximity to the old transducer(s). |
