[CA11] Garmin NMEA 2000
Hi, I have a Garmin Quatix watch I use for sailing. I see Garmin has a GNT 10 NMEA Transceiver that connects into a NMEA 2000 system, and transmits information to a Quatix watch. I'm not a NMEA expert, will this plug into my Raymarine NMEA 2000 system on my powerboat, and talk with my watch? Thanks for any help or advice.

RE: [CA11] Garmin NMEA 2000
Welcome to the Raymarine Forum Boatzguy,

Should your Raymarine system support NMEA 2000 communications, then it should be possible to interface the GNTâ„¢ 10 NMEA 2000 Transceiver to the system to support communications of the following NMEA 2000 PGNs via the GNT 10 (according to the GNT 10's manual). Questions concerning what data will be communicated between the GNT 10 and the Garmin Quatix watch should be addressed to Garmin support.

NOTE: the above listed PGNs will only be transmitted if the NMEA 2000 backbone has been interfaced to an operational source for the corresponding type of data (ex. GPS, NMEA 2000 engine gateway, etc.).
